Weapons of Mass Collaboration...

What are they?
What are the concerns?
What are the possibilities?

We are already handling IT on a daily basis - mobiles / ebay / iTunes / SMS / tickets / Google

The fear is about not knowing about it...or feeling you need to know
all the latest stuff. We just need to see the benefits and opportunities that these technologies have to offer our work and organisations

Again just because tech is used it doesn't mean the old methods are thrown away you can still use a Moleskin journal and fountain pen with iPhone and mac...

The real key for us as creative leaders is to understand some of the tools

Like any artist you need to know some basics of your form to create new work. Painting a canvas with oils you need to understand the tools and materials to succeed. You can't leap in straight away without some basic knowledge

Again like a car  - the need to go on interesting journeys - not the mechanics are what we need to know

I will be linking  you live with our office in York and also to De Montfort University via our new Second Life Hub to meet our developers online in Bradford and Nottingham. Where we can have an online Q and A session

There is also a practical hands on demonstration of Second Life with pre-built avatars for you...more later

Some links below can start as a guide for all of us, and act as an ongoing resource that we can add to and build on
